Haojue: Quality under the Microscope | Motorcycle Memory
Sales slogans do not prove quality. Start with R&D, NVH, reliability testing, the proving ground and laboratory accreditation. Then ask for comparable failure, durability and recall data.
Haojue describes an R&D system covering NVH, reliability testing, a proving ground and CNAS-accredited laboratory work. That shows which quality processes exist; it does not prove ‘best quality’ through sales claims.
Most of this material comes from Haojue itself. It cannot replace independent failure-rate, durability and recall data.
Comparable independent quality data across brands is still missing.
BMW Group reports list Loncin in Chongqing as a production partner for motorcycles and scooters. Loncin dates the relationship to an engine programme begun in 2005.
Contract production and supply are established. That does not mean Loncin’s own bikes received every piece of BMW technology.
Commercial agreements limit what is public about the transfer of know-how.
CFMOTO’s official chronology records its appointment as KTM’s exclusive distributor in China and CKD manufacturer in June 2013; the CFMOTO-KTMR2R joint-venture factory was commissioned only in August 2020.
Distribution, CKD assembly and the joint venture are three stages. The December 2013 milestone concerns state-escort motorcycle production, not commissioning of the joint-venture factory. UN, WTO, WIPO and EU rules separately bound manufacturing, CKD, licensing and joint control; these terms cannot be collapsed into one claim of ‘getting KTM technology’.
Neutral definitions do not replace the parties’ contracts. Components, processes, engineering responsibility and IP scope still require contractual or model-level records.
